This promotional video was created for a special effects make-up (SFX) course, showcasing advanced techniques in cinematic make-up artistry. It was my first collaboration with a professional film and theatre actor, and I was deeply impressed by the powerful performance of Jure Henigman, one of Slovenia’s most recognized actors. The video was filmed in the underground spaces of Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana’s iconic cultural center, whose mysterious atmosphere provided the perfect setting for this creative project. The special effects make-up was designed by Vanja Djuran with the assistance of Tanja Vojnovič, while Matjaž Plošinjak was responsible for styling. Original music for the video was composed by Polona Janežič, adding a unique emotional depth to the final piece. This project highlights the artistic synergy between make-up design, film direction, and storytelling, and demonstrates how SFX make-up can transform creative ideas into cinematic experiences.
